Holematthi Nature Information Center in the South Indian state Karnataka has been operating successfully since 2018. The mission of the center is to inform the local community and decision-makers about the surrounding wilderness, and the need for protection. Since the locals co-exist with the wildlife, share the same land, and are dependent on its natural resources to survive, education becomes a critical tool to inform their role as stakeholders in conservation.

Everything in Holematthi is depicted with an artistic vision inspired from the local area. Artists from five regional states (Karnataka, Punjab, Goa, Gujarat and Maharashtra) have worked to develop the center, curated by nature artist Sangeetha Kadur.
